THE ACOSTA GROUP
Juan Manuel Acosta Mendoza began his career in hotels in 1969 with a single room in the town of Almendralejo. Later, in 1970, he opened Hostal Valencia which had 26 rooms and was aimed at travellers, workers and businessmen.
In 1980 he opened Hotel Los Angeles which had 21 rooms. It was expanded to 33 rooms in 1983. Over the course of these years, Juan Manuel Acosta secured his position in Almendralejo as a young hotelier.
One of the most memorable years for us was 1992 when Hotel Acosta Vetonia opened its doors. This was the first large project Mr Acosta undertook on his own. The establishment had 30 rooms and large events rooms that could host conventions and banquets. In 1999, this hotel's capacity was increased to 62 rooms and a sports area and spa were added.
In a short space of time, the basic hotel needs of Almendralejo had been met. In 2002, Mr Acosta then had the idea of constructing the town's first 4-star hotel. Hotel Acosta Centro opened the doors to its 115 rooms in September 2006.
In 2009, Hoteles Acosta acquired a hotel in Villafranca de los Barros. Hotel Acosta Ciudad de la Musica was opened in 2010.
